Scallop Potato Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 6 lb. fully cooked bone in half ham
  • 3 lb. potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
  • 4 med. onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp. honey or corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • Paprika
Scallop Potato Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Wipe ham with damp paper towels. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan.
2. Bake, uncovered, for 1 1/4 hours.
3. Place potatoes, onions and 2 teaspoons salt in large saucepan; cover with water. Bring to boiling and boil gently 5 minutes or until potatoes are just tender. Drain.
4. Melt butter in small saucepan. Remove from heat. Add flour, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper and paprika and stir until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to gentle boil, stirring constantly; boil gently 3 minutes. Set sauce aside.
5. Remove ham from oven. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees. Mix brown sugar, honey and mustard; pat mixture on ham. Insert meat thermometer in center of ham, away from bone...

6. Place ham in center of 3 quart shallow baking dish or shallow casserole. Spoon drained potato mixture around ham. Pour sauce over potato mixture. Sprinkle potatoes with paprika.

7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 130 degrees and sauce is bubbling. and the scallop potato recipe of baked ham is ready to serve..enjoy it ! Nice ! Makes 6-8 servings...enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 lb fully cooked ham, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 package country style gravy mix
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese.
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine potatoes, onion and ham in a lightly greased stoneware Crockpot.Combine gravy mix, mushroom soup and water; whisk until combined. Pour gravy mixture over potatoes. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours. (High 3 to 4 hours). Top scallop potato with cheese during last 30 minutes of cooking.

NOTE: To prevent darkening, toss sliced, uncooked scallop potatoes in a mixture of 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar; drain and proceed with recipe. Nice ! ENJOY!!!

INGREDIENTS
  • 5-6 medium potatoes (suitable for mashing), sliced into thin slices
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • large rectangular glass dish (Pyrex style)
  • pan spray

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Spray glass dish with nonstick spray. Layer potato slices and chopped onions in dish.
On stove over medium heat, melt butter into flour and mix.
Remove pan from heat.
Slowly pour in milk, stirring constantly until thick. If sauce does not thicken, add another tablespoon of flour AND butter.
When you reach the desired thickness, pour in grated cheese and stir until melted.
Pour sauce over potatoes and place in oven, covered, for 30 minutes.
Remove cover and return to oven for 60 minutes or until potatoes are cooked through.
Remove from oven and Let set for 20 minutes, uncovered. The scallop potato recipe is ready to serve....enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 6-8 red or white potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 4-6 oz. shredded cheese (your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
Using casserole dish, layer potatoes, sprinkle cheese, salt and pepper between layers. Leave some cheese for top layer. when done with potatoes, combine milk and pour over potatoes. Arrange pats of butter across top and sprinkle remaining cheese.

Preheat oven to 350°F but microwave covered dish 10 minutes before baking 50-60 minutes.
More cheese may be used if you prefer a cheesier dish. The scallop potato recipe is ready to serve...enjoy it !

SCALLOPED POTATOES AU GRATIN

INGREDIENTS
  • potatoes
  • onion slices
  • Wondra flour
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
  • shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Cream of Mushroom soup
  • French onion chip dip

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Quantities are not specific in this recipe, so vary according to your own taste and feel free to improvise with what you have.

Slice potatoes and arrange in the bottom of an ovenproof casserole or baking dish. Top with onion slices, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with a thin layer of shredded Cheddar cheese.
In a sauce pan, warm 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup and mix with 1 pint of French onion chip dip. Pour the mixture over potatoes. If soup mixture becomes too thick, add some milk to thin it down.

Sprinkle Wondra flour over the top and add a couple of pats of butter.Repeat the first step, adding layers until dish is full.Bake at 350°F in oven for about 90 minutes or until golden

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)
  • 4 yukon gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 13" x 9" glass baking dish.

Whisk flour, salt, thyme and pepper into milk. Place sweet potato slices in large pot and over with milk mixture. Add bay leaf. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 4 minutes. Add Yukon gold potatoes and simmer, uncovered, for about 8 minutes or until potatoes
are almost tender. Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.

Spread potato mixture into prepared baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden and bubbling and potatoes are tender. Remove and let stand 10 minutes before serving. The scalloped potato recipe is ready and makes 6 to 8 servings. Enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

INSTRUCTIONS
In 5-quart saucepot over high heat, heat unpeeled sweet potatoes and enough water to over to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer until sweet potatoes are just fork-tender but not soft, about 20 minutes; drain. Cool sweet potatoes until easy to handle.

Meanwhile, slice onions 1/4 inch thick. In 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot vegetable oil, cook onions and 1/4 teaspoon salt until tender, stirring occasionally.Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 13" by 9" baking dish. Peel sweet potatoes and cut into 1/4-inch thick slices. In
bottom of baking dish, arrange one-third of sweet potatoes; sprinkle with half of onions. Place half of remaining sweet potatoes over onion layer, then top with remaining onions.

Arrange remaining sweet potatoes over onions.In 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; stir in flour, ginger, pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt until blended; cook 1 minute.

Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until sauce boils and thickens slightly.
Pour sauce over potatoes in baking dish; sprinkle with parsley. Bake 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and mixture is heated through. If you like, broil 1 minute to brown top of potatoes slightly.
